Of course I have watched Sex and the City. I’ve watched all episodes, I’ve watched the first movie. I even went back and watched the second movie, even though the first one was pretty disappointing.
So I get what Lancôme is doing here, both with naming and with description. Monsieur Big. “You’ll know he’s the one at first stroke”. They obviously want us to think of Carrie Bradshaw and her somewhat questionable choice of men.
But I cannot help it, with the name, the appearance, heck, even the description I instinctively think of something else. Now I don’t know if any kids (probably mine?) will ever stumble upon this blog post, so I will not go into more detail here. Question is: Is your mind as filthy as mine?
To get back on safe territory, let’s concentrate on the fact if the Lancôme Monsieur Big mascara delivers.

Prize and size
One tube contains 10 ml and retails for 27 € on the website here. The wand is thick and with bristles, just the way I like it.
Texture and smell
A wet formula, too wet for my liking, and it never really dried down.
Application and effects
The wand has just the right size to get all the lashes without smudging on your eyelid, but I have to be very careful to avoid spider lashes and clumping. The volume promised is there, as well as a nice amount of length, yet still I am not 100 % convinced.

Does it live up to its claims?
Yes.
Up to 12x the volume was promised, and volume it gives. It stays put through my day without smudging should I rub my eye, and while I haven’t worn it through the night, I have taken it off at 10 pm looking just as good as it did in the mornings.
Would I repurchase?
No.
I don’t like the effect enough to pay that much for a mascara.
Who do I recommend it to?
If you don’t mind some clumps as long as you get jet-black lashes and volume, this one might be for you.
